Echinacea Root (Echinacea angustifolia) Echinacea raises the body’s natural resistance to infection by stimulating and aiding immune function. It works in part by increasing macrophage and T-cell activity. It is also rich in polysaccharides, which help protect cells against invasion by viruses and bacteria. It has antifungal and anti-bacterial properties. As a tincture, echinacea can be taken at the first sign of cold or flu to boost immune-system function.

Elderberry (Sambucus nigra) the berries from the Elder plant have powerful antiviral properties and so are helpful in tearing viral infections such as flus, herpes and shingles. They’re also used for treating upper respiratory infections. Elderberry is also an immune enhancer and blood cleanser, as it helps to detoxify extracellular fluid.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) Ginger contains a proteolytic enzyme that has been shown to reduce inflammation and help repair damaged joints and cartilage tissue. It improves circulation in the pelvis and numerous studies confirm that Ginger lowers triglycerides linked to diabetes and heart disease.

Elderberry & Ginger loose leaf tea pairs well with our “Echinacea Root” tincture as an immune booster focus.

Ingredients:  Organic and sustainably sourced echinacea roots & 76% grain vodka.
1.5 oz of organic dried elderberries & ginger rhizome loose leaf tea.

Directions: Shake well before use. Keep in a cool dark area. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid use during pregnancy.
0.25 mL dose 1-3 x/day for 2 weeks. If after 2 weeks symptoms still persist take 1 week off and restart a new 2 week cycle. Use 1 tsp of elderberry & ginger loose leaf/cup of tea. Decoct - bring berries and rhizomes to a boil, cover and lower heat to a simmer for 30 minutes, strain and pour. Add tincture to tea.
