Ashwagandha Roots (Withania somnifera) - adaptogen, alterative, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antitussive, aphrodisiac, anxiolytic, bitter, immunomodulator, thermogenic, sedative, stimulant.

An ancient Ayurvedic herb, an excellent adaptogenic herb, ashwagandha increases the body’s overall ability to adapt to and resist stress. It can be used to increase memory and facilitate learning. It is both energizing and soothing. Ashwagandha is indicated for a wide range of conditions including arthritic inflammation, anxiety, insomnia, respiratory disorders, nervous disorders, gynecological disorders, and impotence. Some specific indications within this list are chronic constipation, swollen glands, and asthma. Due to its high iron content, ashwagandha also benefits iron-deficient anemia (a suggested preparation in this case is simmered in milk with molasses). It is important to note that ashwagandha is a calming adaptogen, so while there are other plants that may offer similar benefits, ashwagandha is best suited for those that are prone to anxiety or nervousness.

Peppermint has often been called “a blast of pure green energy”, not that there aren’t stronger stimulants, but few make you feel as renewed and refreshed as peppermint does. It is an excellent digestive aid. It soothes and calms the digestive system when used internally or externally. It contains an assortment of important nutrients, including calcium, magnesium and potassium. One of the best carminatives available. A digestive aromatic. Relaxing nervine that helps improve circulation.

Ingredients:  Organic Ashwagandha Root & 76% grain vodka.
1.5 oz of organic dried peppermint.

Directions: Shake well before use. Keep in a cool dark area. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid use during pregnancy. 

0.25 mL dose 1-3 x/day. Use 1 tsp of peppermint/cup of tea.
